Aeroviaggi, preliminary performance results from 2021

According to the 2021 preliminary results, the Aeroviaggi Group, owner of the Mangia’s brand, closed the 2021 financial year with revenues of 58 million euros, the double if compared to the 2020 financial year.

In 2021, the hotel chain registed a total of 626,000 Italian and international overnight stays, recording full occupancy in the Group’s 13 resorts.

EBITDA amounted to around 11 million Euros in 2021, compared to 1 million Euros in 2020, marking a positive result, in particular when compared with the figure of 13 million Euros in 2019, a record season for the Group.

In line with continuity, the main KPIs of the Hospitality division recorded positive performances, a strong improvement compared to 2020. In 2021, ADR stood at +20%, Total Revenue Per Occupied Room (TRevPOR) at +24% and Gross Operating Profit (GOP) at 33%.

The results achieved are part of the Group’s repositioning path in the upper-upscale segment undertaken with the launch of the Mangia’s brand in July 2021 and characterized by numerous enhancement investments, culminating in the partnership signed in December 2021 with Blackstone, which will allow to allocate about 85 million Euros of CapEx to the resorts identified in the agreement.

We remind you that the assets included in the Aeroviaggi – Blackstone joint venture are 6 resorts (1,886 keys) located in Sicily and Sardinia: Brucoli Premium Hotel; Agrustos Beach Villas; Pollina Premium Resort; Cala Blu Premium Resort; Marmorata Sea View Resort; Costanza Charme Club.

To date, the group has 14 structures (3,252 keys), located in Sicily and Sardinia, and they have grown with CAGR +2.5% since 2013.
