B&B Hotels has recently inaugurated the new B&B Hotel Sassuolo, the sixth structure of the group in Emilia-Romagna, 56th in Italy. The hotel was born from the repositioning of the Hotel Leon D’Oro, a Sassuolo structure closed in 2018 and remained in disuse for almost 4 years. The building, which is spread over eight floors, is also equipped with a common area, a multifunctional coworking area and 91 rooms of different types. The hotel has 6 meeting rooms of different sizes.
The inauguration of the B&B Hotel Sassuolo follows the recent opening of the B&B Hotel Roma Fiumicino Fiera. During 2022 the B&B group inaugurated 7 hotels for a total of 593 keys including Arezzo, Pomezia, Fiumicino, Genoa, Cherasco, Chioggia and Sassuolo. Starting from 2020 the new entries were 19 for a total of 1,750 keys. We recall that the aggregate turnover of the English B&B Hotels portfolio saw an increase of CAGR + 27% in the entire period 2013-2019 and a reduction of -52% in 2020.
The main share of revenues comes from structures in Lombardy, Lazio and Emilia Romagna. We recall that, in 2019, the group embarked on a strategy of reducing its real estate portfolio by finalizing the sale of some properties with Sale & Lease Back agreements. This is the case of the hotels B&B Palermo, B&B Como City Center, B&B Genova, B&B Sesto S.Giovanni.
