Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, one of Accor’s brands, will add 33 new hotels to its portfolio over the next few years, for a total of 7,931 keys. In 2022, 7 of these hotels are already scheduled to open, for a total of 2,000 keys. For 2023, a further 10 hotels will be opened, followed by another 4 in 2024, and 12 in 2025 and beyond. These projects are homogeneously planned around the world, with the exception of the Asian continent which will see the construction of 12 hotels. In Europe and the Middle East, 8 openings are planned respectively, while Africa will see the construction of 5 hotels. Vietnam is the country with the most upcoming Movenpick openings, as it will see an increase in key supply of 1,112. In Italy, the brand will make its debut this year, with the Mövenpick Pisa Tower Plaza, 5-star with 127 keys. The management of the hotel, which had been entrusted to Allegroitalia for several years, is now under Uappala Hotels. The new Mövenpick opening represents the 4th hotel of the Accor group in Italy together with the Grand Hotel Palazzo Livorno, Mercure Ferrara and Mercure Viareggio.
