Uturn Investments, an independent family office founded in Verona by Gianpiero Peron, Luca Mongodi and Alberto Nicoli, has announced the acquisition of 48.5% of Kleos Hotel Group and will lead as lead investor of the club deal for the creation of a new hotel chain. The new group will be specializing in the management of resort hotels with a first structure in Milan. Uturn, with 350 million euros of assets under management, enters in the hospitality sector thanks to the fourth club deal operation in less than 6 months. It is going to intensify the investment work in key sectors to the Italian economy. The first hotel of the group, in Milan, is located in Piazzale Susa, a few meters from Blue Metro that connects the structure Linate airport and, once completed, at city center, and offers 55 rooms recently refurbished.
After Milan, Kleos Hotel Group aims to open new facilities in other cities leisure such as Venice, Cortina and Verona. Gianpiero Peron, co-founder of UTurn Investments, said: «We are happy to be able to enter the hotel industry with this operation, strategic sector for the Italian economy which has great development potential. It’s a confirmation of our investment philosophy”. The acquisition of Kleos Hotel Group represents the fourth club deal operation concluded in a few months by Uturn, after the acquisition of 20% of Dinamo, an Italian startup specializing in Made in Italy food supplements for athletes. UTurn was founded in 2021 by Peron, Luca Mongodi and Alberto Nicoli, and operates in the management of asset allocation in public markets and as promoter of club deals for investments both of majority and of minority in Italian SMEs that it manages directly for its investors, by leveraging on the experience of its founders.
